CRAZY FAITH

Hey, Sis! 

Question for you.

Have you ever walked around your house in the dark? 

And somehow still manage to find your way to the bathroom

with absolutely NO lights on? 

That's how my life feels right now. 

Like I'm walking COMPLETELY in the dark

And yet!

I am STILL managing to find my way

to where I need to be. 

How? 

All I know is 

Despite my best made plans...

Diligent actions... 

And willingness to serve.

I am still COMPLETELY in the dark of what to do next. 

And yet, 

I have no fear of the dark 

Or concern about getting lost. 

And doing all of this as if I am almost half-sleep 

Literally, with one eye BARELY open - okay? 

Yet, In some weird way.

I have complete trust in God.  

I guess that's why it's called FAITH, Sis. 

We don't KNOW - 

And yet We go anyway. 

We can't GUARANTEE - 

And yet We Trust anyhow. 

And even when everything FAILS to go as 

I had hoped, desired or planned - 

I don't doubt Him or His plan for me. 

Paul teaches in Romans 1:17: 

" Therein is the righteousness of God revealed, from faith to faith, 

as it is written, the just shall live by faith" (KJV) 

Which says to me, that God displays his righteousness to us, 

EACH TIME 

we trust Him, from one moment of faith to the next.  

Which shows me, that faith is more than a conversation starter,  

or our ability to quote scriptures. 

Girl, FAITH is REAL! 

It's not to just something we say to others 

Or something we sing about in the car. 

Sis. 

We must put this THANG in action 

In order for it to produce the fruit of righteousness in our lives 

that God has promised us! 

Girl, It's time for CRAZY faith!

And I wonder what would happen... 

if we ALL lived each moment of our lives in this way?

Without fear. (Crazy Faith?) 

Without concern. (Crazy Faith?)

Without doubt or worry about what's next. (CRAZY Faith!) 

Just trusting God 

When all is grim 

Money is low 

And life is hard Faith! 

You know that's really the type of FAITH God wants us to have, right?  

That C.O.G.I.C voice, "NEVERTHELESS", 

"Though he SLAY ME", kind of CRAZY faith! 

Did you know that this the only kind of FAITH that is pleasing to God?  

" For without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that comes to God must BELIEVE that HE is and KNOW that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. " (Heb 11:6 KJV) 

But I realize, it's easier said than done, yes?  

So let me leave you with a visual...

If you were standing near a crowded intersection, 

during rush hour

with cars and people congested everywhere 

and a small child approached you 

Crying

With they're arms in the air 

Gesturing to be picked up.

Would you pick up the baby, Sis? 

Or would you leave a vulnerable child, 

in distress 

near the dangerous intersection. 

and walk away? 

We ALL know the answer, right?  

But do We ALL understand that 

GOD.... IS.... THE....EXACT.... SAME.... WAY! 

And He sees each of us as that vulnerable child?!! 

And HE is HERE, Sis!!! 

Ready. 

Willing. 

And able. 

To PICK ALL of US UP!!

ANY and EVERYTIME 

We cry out to HIM in CRAZY Faith!  

But the problem is - we don't, Sis.  

Not every single time. 

Like we should.

So, my final thought is this - 

Do You REALLY trust Him? 

With Every moment 

of every day. 

Before the intersection? 

During it? 

Or even after we make it across?

Or are we still just TALKING faith 

As we attempt to cross the intersection Alone. 

Or are we still SINGING faith on Sunday 

As we depend on people to pick us up - 

and get mad when they Can't or Won't.  

Or do we really BELIEVE in God?!

Like a small child

Who relies on his parents 

To feed him when he's Hungry.  

To bathe him when he's Dirty. 

To comfort him when he's Afraid.

To protect him when it's Not Safe. 

And to nurture him with Love. 

Sis, that's CRAZY FAITH.
